I have heard that XP can set up and run it's own slide show but I don't know how it's done (I still have WINDOWS 98) - which I know isn't much help answering this. If you're asking about using XP to set it up.

You can get trial versions of screensaver maker programs (I bought one outright for $9.98 on ebay, came on a CD) where you install the program and add any pictures you want to it, click to set up and end up with a file that is an actual screensaver. you can use it, send it to others (usually zip file because they can be big), save it on a cd, etc.

You also say you'd like to use one as a screensaver. You mean one picture or one set of clips?

I've asked so many questions on this board, I decided now to look for those who hadn't gotten answers (from someone who might know more about it) and seem if it's anything I can help with.

I am interested in making actual screensavers, and looked into programs, and found little or no information online about how to do this.

You might also be asking how to get single pictures from the video clips?

Not sure if you can use PSP or something to take screen shots of the ones you want, which you would then save as stills (jpgs) but there might be a program you can get that shows the video frame by frame and lets you save them that way. Seems like I read about this somewhere on here.

maybe you can find one in google?
