Is this a CD from the Photographers? In which case it is probably in a proprietry format.
Can you produce a list of all the files on that CD (what we need to see is the folder structure an the file names/types)
I think it may play in a TV DVD player.

I'm thinking of the same thing. Is it from a professional photographer / filmer?

You'll probably find that he still holds the copyright, unless you got it from the courts.

I was meant to add that to my last post. Since he is the creator then he has the copyright to it. He needs to give you a waiver form for you to make copies, distribute copies etc.

Also I'm thinking that the DVD is meant to play in a DVD player only, so thats why its not in .JPG form (or similar). I'm guessing the only way you are going to get the pictures is if you get the professional to make a CD with the JPGs on it. If your wedding pictures are really bad, I think you can sue for some of the costs (maybe I have been watching Judge Judy too much )

If the thing is/was designed purely for TV playback you won't want the Pictures off it anyway. They are very low resolution. You can tell from the size of the files on the CD.
By the way, where is that list of files?

Trist, did you get the copyright of the DVD too? If so I'm sure another professional can look into exracting the files.
