Hello & Welcome to Tsg

Your camera does not have optical zoom, but has 4x digital zoom.
Digital zoom is a bit of a waste of time. It just blows up your pixels.

You would be better off taking your pics at the highest resolution and then crop them in your photo software where you can see whats happening.
