Rotating scans in Paperport
After scanning a photo I may have a 4 Mb Tiff file. If I rotate the photo in paperport it becomes an 8 Mb file. Why is this ? If I move the unrotated photo to "My Pictures" in XP, it starts as a 4 Mb file and remains at 4 Mb after I rotate it. Am I doing something wrong ?

Morning trwtrw,

I use Paperport8.0 on a win98se machine.
I just scanned two objects, one at low res (96) and the other at 200.
I saved to tiff, checked the file properties and then rotated ( in Paperport)90 deg without cropping. Both instances, the file size stayed the same.

Sorry, I can not duplicate your situation.

Are you rotating, like to 90, 180,270 deg, or straightening several degrees to level a picture?

I used the straightening function, also.....but the difference was less than 10%

Jack.
