Scanning picture with paper port
We had scanned some pictures using PaperPort where it took up the whole sheet, now when we scan the image only fills a corner of the white sheet. We have tried a number of options and can't find the settings to switch. We have a brother MFC 3820 C printer, scanner and fax machine. I have looked at the owners manual but did not see any thing. On the PaperPort menu we explored under help. Any ideas is appreciated.

Can you put the cursor on the edge of the picture and see if you can drag it out to make it bigger. Don't know really how to explain but on my scanner when I see the photo I can put my cursor on the edge and drag it smaller if I want to crop it some. Sometimes when I go to scan the next thing it's still in that cropped position so it doesn't fill the whole screen and I have to drag the sides out to make it fill the screen again.

Do the cursor thing from the PREVIEW screen. Also my (old) version of paperport has entries to set the paper size and it takes exactly the same time to scan a whole sheeet as to scan a small photo so I always scan 8 1/2 x 11 then chop it to size using photoshop software.

Hello willadene

I'm using Paperport 8 and Twain is set to manual scans.
I suspect your scanning software may have been set to automatic scans.
I use manual, but can show how to reproduce what I think you want.

In the attached jpeg....the top circled button will automatically define the area to be scanned. Then pressing the second circled button gives the scanned preview that will 'fill the white page'.
There is also an auto mode button on the left which scans and straightens pictures....but it's slower and I prefer more control
