"Lost" photos
I have organized my photos on picasa for several years..Recently, I noted that a new version, Picasa 2 was available, and had many new features. so I went to site and downloaded and installed Picasa2.
In process of install, I noted a para that in effect stated that "you don't need to waste that much space....you can uninstall Picasa 1".......which i then did
If I had read entire intro, i would have noted that first i should ask pic2 to capture pics from pic 1.......but i failed to note this..
i know pics are still on computer, but when i try to get pic 2 to capture them, it states "no pics found"
i "know" pics are still on computer, because they rotate thru as my screen saver..........but i don't know how to "locate" them and install them into picasa 2
can anyone help? thanks ejpo

Have you tried doing an open search for them?

Try this (if you're not using XP, this may be a little different, but you can run the search anyway): Start>Search>All Files and Folders then type in *.gif and it will bring up all of your pics in gif. Then try *.jpg for jpeg extensions.

Ok...I haven't used picasso before, but I can help with the location...

Right click on the a pic and go to properties. It should give you the location in there.

Did you go into the C drive under program folders and see if they are in the program folder for Picasa? Sometimes when I uninstall stuff it does't remove the folder in C drive for the program and things are left behind.

As suggested by other members, you first have to locate them, then drag or copy them to "say desktop" .

Once this is done, paste them into P2..
