Question Looking for a new printer
Hi e-1! I am going to be in the market for a new printer. I really don't want to spend toooo much but I would like a nice color printer...possibly to use for pictures...or not, depending on the price. Looking for suggestions! Thanks!

Hi,

I have used Canon printers for quite a number of years now, without a hint of a problem. I currently have 3 of the suckers doing various tasks.

My bash printer at the moment is the Canon MPC190 multifunction. It cost $175 in Australia.

Whilst it's functions are not as good as say dedicated photo printers, higher end scanners, etc; for general usage, and a quite acceptable photo print quality, it would suit just fine.

I just bought an HP DeskJet 3745. It's up to 4800 dpi resolution, 14 pages per minute b&w and 10 pages per minute color. I got it at Wal-Mart for something like $39.95. That's less than the two replacement cartridges for my old DeskJet. It is a USB printer so I also had to buy a cable.

Solved
Thank you everyone for the suggestions...I checked out epinions and amazon and wal-mart to get reviews. After looking at most everything....late evening!!...I purchased a Canon PIXMA iP4000. I got it for $80 at Staples...it was supposed to be $150 with a $50 instant rebate and a $20 mail in. I have printed some color stuff off the internet and they turned out great...I will be anxious to try some pics from my digital camera. Thanks for the replys and this can be marked solved whenever someone gets a chance!
