photoshop layers/rollovers and browser display
i'm trying to get an understanding of this...the web development forum has not been too helpful....i was thinking maybe somebody here might have some insight into this

i'm working up an interactive map for a website i've been asked to provide some stylistic help on

if you've both firefox and IE, and a moment, check out the working test version in both browsers.....they both seem to load in about the same amount of time, but the way the map displays in IE is much different than firefox.

anybody have any thoughts on this? or specifically, does it have anything to do with the way the document was layered in photoshop?..or the transfer of those layers into rollovers in imageready?

They both display the same for me (IE 6 & FX 1.06).

Try viewing it in Firefox's 'safe mode'(extensions and added themes disabled) - to see if an extension or theme is responsible.

Close any Firefox windows and go to Start -> Run and type
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
- obviously, if you have installed firefox to another location change the path to reflect this.
