Smile Solved: Paint shop pro...
Hi wiewers....

First time post here. I have paintshop pro8 and animation shop v3.05 (on loan) . I thought and according to instructions that i could start "Animation Shop" via "PSP8" which i can. But when i try to move frames from Animation Shop to PSP8 the option is there "export to PSP" but never highlighted. I can drag frames from Animation to PSP but to return them using this method is a lenghty process. Am i doing something wrong? Perhaps in the settings? I dont know.

What im hoping to acheive is to ad frames, taken with my digi cam from Animation Shop to PSP8 to edit different frames and load back to Animation Shop to watch. Is this possible woth these programs? I have a vision of filming my pal with a blank screen and overlay with background from photos (like the weather on TV. Is this the software for the job? Regards. Mark.

Which was installed first? It's possible that these applications detect one another's presence during installation by the extant registry entries and that by reinstalling the one that doesn't detect the other (PSP?) that it might work.

Thanx Evandil
I installed PSP8 first. I will uninstall and try the opposite way around. Do you use these programs? Regards. Mark.

Marcan:

Are you aware that there is an 8.10 update for Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.0?

If you haven't installed it, you can get it from here.

I don't know whether it'll fix your problem or not, but as you can see, there's a long list of fixes and enhancements to the update.

No, I don't use these---that is why the advice was general and systemic .

The first link to the patch should fix the problem. It will make 8.0 into 8.10 and give you animation shop 3.10. What is the problem when you install the update? I seem to recall a few years ago a friend had a problem installing the update and I think she uninstalled everything and started from scratch. I also remember at the time Jasc was sending people updated CD's or something. I had the latest version when I bought mine so I didn't have to do anything. Maybe see if the corel site has the patch and get it right from there.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7, and they should work the same. What I do, when moving frames to Paint Shop Pro from Animation Shop, is, I left click on the frame I want to move, to highlight it, then right click it and choose "Export frames to Paint Shop Pro". When I am finished making changes to the frame, I check the "X" on top of the frame, and a popup will ask if I want to save changes made and export back to Animation Shop.

Wooohooo
Sorry about delays in posts (working). Anyway. I have since took advice and uninstalled both PSP8 and ASP3. I applied the downloaded patch after re-install and have so far managed to export frames tfrom ASP to PSP (but havent tried back the way yet).Thanx to evertone who replied. You have all been very helpful and have put a cheezer on my face. I hope to be able to help out in some threads once my knowledge is up. Thanx again.

ps. You will probably see some other posts in here from myself. Im a newbie to these programs. I hope to create a short video and edit the frames with some effects. Who knows where ill end up.

Please let us know how you make out with your program. We would like to know if you can export frames to both programs and save your finished animations.
GOOD LUCK
