Unhappy Tiff recovery
Hi!
I'm trying in my new PC with WindowsXP Pro to view tiff files stored in a cd but I can't. I had stored/copied them using Nero in WindowsNT. I have tried all the so called "Cd recover" programs but nothing works. I even sent a tiff file to some companies but the tech experts said that it was an empty file but it wasn't because it appears in the cd in its proper MB. I only can't view them. I tried all kind of tiff viewers but still nothing happened.
Can anyone please help me because I really need them for my work?

What happens if you try to look at the directory for the CD?

Well, that's really odd. Have you tried ISOBuster to read them?

As I mentioned before when I sent a sample tiff file to some companies which sell software such as CdRoller, Irfanview, etc. the tech experts when they said that it was an empty file they meant that it was all zeros but they appear on cd in their actual size. The strange is that I could read them in my old PC with WindowsNT. I tried with IsoBuster but still I can't view them. What's wrong?
As it appears that would be the puzzle of the century!

Hi kalxen and welcome to TSG,

Please do not start more than one thread for the same problem. I have merged them both together.

Please continue replying in this one.

Thank you.

There is the possibility that you used packet writing software to record them and you need the UDF reader for that package to read the CDs. The Nero packet writing program is InCD and they have a free reader on their site.

InCD works only with RW media and they have to be formatted. If they are regular CDR you can disregard the suggestion.
