Solved: Can I attach an .WMV file to a post?
I made a slide show (.WMV) of Valley's new baby Luke and I would like to put it in his birth thread for others to see. Is there any way I can do that? Thanks

Sure. As long as it's not too huge, rename it to a TXT file and attach it, and indicate that if anyone want to watch it, to download the file and rename it to WMV.

You could zip it up too and attach it.

Can also upload the video to here. http://www.putfile.com/

But read the TOS http://www.putfile.com/tos.php because it says...

6) By uploading an image, video or other file to Putfile.com, users give permission for the owners of Putfile to publish any such files through any associated media channel or party. Users upload files to Putfile on condition that they release all rights to the image, and give full permission to Putfile and its associates to use and publish the image in any way they wish. No compensation will be payable for the uploaded file being used in any such way.

Thanks all for trying LOL I can't seem to get this file to save as anything other than a WMV file or an Adobe Reader file. I'm doing it through Photoshop Elements 4.0. The option to save in another format doesn't come up. Probably something simple but I'm just learning this new program.. Very different from my old Photoshop Elements!

If anyone can clue me on how to do the above I would be eternally grateful *well, very grateful anyway*

No, Don't try and save it as anything else, just go to the folder where the .WMV file is and rename it as a .TXT file Example filename.wmv rename to filename.txt

Details on the way.

I'd just ZIP it, that way it's compressed as much as possible, and there's no renaming necessary for folks to view it.
