Any PS gurus?
HI

Attached is an image scanned from a VERY old b/w photo, there is little detail left in it.

I have basic photo editing software, but its too far gone for me to get much improvement on the "graininess" of the image. I only have the reproduced image as supplied, the original was scanned in by a commercial organisation in another part of the country. My scan is about as good as the print I was given, which is not great!

If anyone has the time and inclination, it would be appreciated if they could try photoshop or similar to see if the image is capable of being cleaned up, these people are all elderly relatives, all deceased.

Its the only known photo of some.

Cheers

kg

Try posting the pic in this thread too Kiwiguy. There's always people playing with pics there if you haven't seen it.

donhammond will find it and make it all better for you. Just ask for this to be put in the photo albums cuz the cat with the machine gun will slaughter you for starting a second thread.

I am far to frightened of Aca Candy to double post, as you so wisely suggest ....

Your second post would be in an already existing thread. You're in the clear.
If not I'll gladly take the punishment on your behalf

This is the best I could do without a lot of cloning and airbrushing. Any sharpening seems to add artifacts rather than help. At that low resolution it might make a decent 4 X 6 but no larger.

Thanks!

That is better than I could do, and it is only going to be 4 x 6 max (possibly smaller) (to be sent to relations in their Xmas card)

Your work is very much appreciated, have a great Christmas!

Cheers...
