I had a crash and I updated from ME to XP. Now when I try to scan something it tells me that twain isn't installed on computer. Where and how do I get it back? Thank you

Did you re-install the scanner software ?
That should load the twain driver.

When I tried to install Itm tells me that installation is not supported for windows 5.1, 5.2, 5.3
This a HP psc 750 xi combo

Downloaded and installed removed old driver. Still doesn't work. Don't know if I'm doing it right, the instructions get to a point then they say follow your original installation poster, after 4 years I cannot find

I think at one point in the installation - they want the Print/Scanner connected and turned on.

This is a long shot - but have you tried to scan using M$'s Camera n Scanner Wizard ?
All Programs > Accessories > Camera n Scanner wizard.

Sure hope someone checks in - who knows what their doing here.

Did you wipe the drive of ME and do a fresh install of XP ?...

Anything else is apt to cause you grief forever...

Sorry, after a lot of seaching, I found the USB cable had pulled out of computer, works fine now, but I did get a new driver, so thanks again. I do have a red face and it isn't sunburn.
