Photoshop7 Question:
I think a setting changed somewhere because I used to be able to take a screen shot of whatever is on monitor number one, TV. Now it looks like this to get a better idea of what I mean just follow the link below. In the video the camera is focused on screen 1&2, notice on the screen on the right as I move the pasted print screen, the picture in monitor number one stays live.

Your media/TV player is using an overlay colour, that's what you've captured. Nothing to do with Photoshop. Disabling the overlay will let you make screensgots again.

Go to Tools -> Options -> Performance -> Advanced, under Video Acceleration uncheck Use Overlays.
Then Ok, Apply & Ok.

ps: you may want to update Windows Media Player (windows update) to 10.00.00.3990

Odd; Did you try updating WMP first? your options are different than mine. Is it a DVD you're watching?
ps: are you using the XPs printscreen facility to capture?

Not unless the version I have was part of a non-critical software update from MS.
Do you have any other media players installed, like Media Player Classic, that you could try?

I just checked in Add or remove Programs, I don't have any other media players installed. I did find a macromedia Flash Player.
