My ex mailman (retired) stopped by today to talk Computer.
He said he had something like that he wanted me to try on my monitors.
From what he described .. it sounded like he was having trouble with the Gamma adjust.
I’ll let you know if he delivers.

I use the Spyder---its very good. Haven't had any experience with the Pantone---but they are major players.

linsky thanks for the tip. I'll do some research on it as I have never heard of it before.
I would still like some feedback on the Pantone one because it's still on sale until Saturday.

Here is something too and it helps you calibrating your printer so what you see is what you print.

Thanks for the tip Harry but I was hoping for some feedback on the specific product I posted about because it's on sale in my area until Saturday.

Wimpy ... Did you get it ?
The mail man stopped by today ... and loaned me his Pantone Spyder.
I'm running twin LCD monitors .... Surprise ... they both look identical now... and much better.
The Spyder sure made it easy.

Not yet. I was waiting to hear what you had to say about it. Tell me what you think about it. Ease of use, accurate etc.... Would it be worth the investment?

Seems to be really easy to use .... But my Samsung controls are confusing.
Having him over my shoulder - reduced the learning curve.
Gives you a bar graph for each Red, Green , Blue level ... as you (re)adjust them on the monitor.
My monitors looks a lot better.
Being side by sides makes it easy to compare.
I still have a slight mis-match in the Grays.
Haven't really tried to touch it up much more ... was too busy tying to figure out where to store the new profiles for "each" monitor.
This was the Spyder version ... sure wish it was cheaper ... maybe my Mailman will forget where it is ... You think??

So if this is from your mail man does that mean your going to mail it out so all of use can use it too?

Anyhow this is free and very easy to use and no install is needed.

He’s retired now … We’re braking in a new mailman.
I’ll check … don’t know if this service is in his benefits package.
Remember Cliff on the sitcom Cheers ???
Can you imaging Cliff with a computer ?? … and a member of this Forum ??

He hee funny Noyb. Hope you get a good new mailman.
My folks had the best mailman and he was there at about the very same time each day early in the morning. Mail box was on the front porch and was some what high. Well later because of my moms health it was hard for her to reach up and into the box so he would make it so it would be easy to get the mail out for her if she was not there when he came by. My mom would be in the kitchen setting at the table when he came so she would see him and get up and go to the door. Was even hard to open the door but he would open it and hand my mom the mail. But then retired and no other mailman could even get into the yard because of the dog. Had to move the mail box out to a slot we cut into the garage because of the dog and the notices that they would have to pickup the mail at the post office. But now you never know when the mail will come. It could be any time of the day.
What happen? The older mailman was there everyday at the same time from 9 to 9:30 for years and would only be a little later around xmas time.
Now they have a mailman like I have here where the mail can be 11 or as late as 6:30 pm.

You got me started ...
Last year we spent a month in Florida .. and had our mail forwarded.
Do you realize how much of your important mail won't be forwarded ?

Since we got back - fixed the mail problem ... we've been permanently moved back to Florida twice ... by the Post office ... without telling us.
Again .. Do you realize how much of your important mail won't be forwarded ?
Do you know how much trouble it it to tell the Bank ... you didn't move ?
I wound up telling the Bank ... they moved me without my permission ... they WILL move me back with my permission.

The Post office says it's a central computer problem w new software ... and not the new mailman.... But I can't help wondering.

I think they're now triyng to make their customers go "Postal" .. if you know what I mean.
I was about there ... my 30-06 is ready to go.
