finding out hexidecimal colour?
can anybody tell me how to find out what the hexidecimal code is for a part of an image that i can already see? i'm trying to find out what shade of black the background on this picture is? or if anybody knows, that'd be great

Checked your picture in Photoshop. The backgound color in RGB mode is as follows (Decimal/Hex):

Red: 6 / 06
Green: 11 / 0B
Red: 17 / 21

I thought I came across an application a few years ago that would show the color code of the current cursor location anywhere on a Windows desktop. I'll be back if I find it.

My image editing app comes with a few things for finding them. Most have a eyedropper, mine also has a "color on screen". You only have to make the window a little smaller and you can place the eyedropper anywhere on the screen like a browser window... That's how I got it.
