Solved: Crop tool not working properly
In Adobe Photoshop Elements my crop tool does not work properly,it will crop only a limited area and no more,I do not have full control over it like I used too ....when I set it up to crop and drag over the area,it does just so much then the photo turns darker and thats it,cannot understand why this is happening, can anyone help at all?

Hi Telecom
Try uninstall and reinstall of elements and see what happens.

When you select the crop tool there should be a long skinny dialog box just under the file menu. You probably have numbers in some of those boxes. Go all the way to the right of the dialog box and click on “Clear”.

You should learn to use that dialog box. It gives you a lot of versatility in cropping.

Thanks to you both for the replies,I would have re-installed it if I could have put my hands on the disk,it was nowhere to be found so I tried slipes suggestion and that did the trick that made my day as Im always using that crop tool and I was stuck without it ....thanks slipe appreciate the help

I will indeed try to find out how to use that crop facility ...
