Solved: PPT file?
I purchased a DVD from my grandson's preschool graduation. Well, took it home and went to watch it on the DVD player. Could not find disk. Went to the other DVD player upstairs, a newer one, only 6 months old. Well, would not read disk also. Well, went for the old Computer DVD player. Guess what, cannot find disk. It has a PPT file, with a read only attributes only. No matter what program I used to try to view the DVD, nothing happens. They keep on saying cannot open this program/DVD as the file format is not recognized. I have at least 3 DVD players on the computer. Interactual player is the one I most use for viewing DVD's. No such luck. Even tried the 6 photo programs I have and not a one recognizes the file format. What is PPT format and how can I get it or what program do I have to buy to play the DVD? O.K. did a little indepth rightclick and found the properties, then went to the summary tab, clicked advanced and found Microsoft Powerpoint as the application name. Is this a DVD program that they used to make the DVD and if so, how do you get the microsoft powerpoint system or another one that works as good. Trying to give as much info as I can find out. Not much to go on.

PPT is Microsoft PowerPoint. You can get the viewer for free from MS:
