Unhappy Photos Become Damaged in Transfer from card to computer
To describe what I mean by damaged, think of an ordinary photo, tint the bottom half blue and shift the blue half to the left a little. I have two digital cameras that I adore and use all the time to take photos. For every 10 photos I take at least 2 are showing up in my transfer like I explained above. When I look at them on the camera they are perfect. Someone suggested there was a patch for this but I'm having a hard time finding anywhere that knows what I am talking about. Any suggestions?

it might help if we knew what kind of camera an card your using. an how are you transferring the pics?
i was having trouble with my sd card. an i put the card in my camera an reformatted it an it help. now unless the 2 cameras you have are the same camera. its best not to use the same card in both cameras. i was switching mine between 2 cameras. an that's when i started having trouble. so i went an bought a different card for the other camera. an i ain't had any problem since. i hope this helps ya

As wilson44512 eluded to

Camera types?
Card types?
Operating system?
How are you transfering them?
Does this happen with both cameras and both cards?

More Info...
I have a Sony Camera that I use a 1G compact flash card in and a Kodak Easy Share that I jave a 1G Sandisk Ultra II card in. When I insert the cards into my card reader, it comes up as removeable dish G: (or F: or whatever one it's in...) and I open the folder to view the files. When the folder is opened, the photos are already messed up. Generally we copy them into a photo folder on our computer and delete them off of the card. This applies to photos taken on either card by either camera. I run Windows XP with all service packs.

This sounds kind of like my problem, minus the email. I dont know if that helps.

Both of your cameras should be able to download directly to the computer through USB. If your EasyShare software is installed you can evidently download from the Kodak only through EasyShare.

Download a batch of photos directly from the camera and compare them to the same photos downloaded using the card reader. With both cameras showing the same problem the card reader could somehow be causing the distortions.
