Solved: Cleaning a Lens
I have a small question. After about a year of use with my camera, I can't help but get a few dust specks on my lens, along with a few smudges as well. Now I don't want to cause further damage to the lens, and use a Kleenex, or my shirt, but what could I use to clean the lens without scratching it?? Do I need to buy a special kit or something?

Edit, lol I can't even spell LENS right...

Thanks, that's a perfect article. All I need to do is find a camera store near me, I've never seen one before. Do you know of any popular stores that have this stuff? Like walmart for example??

Edit, man those are amazing photos! Do you know what camera he is using?

No idea re camera stores in your country, sorry.

Being located in New Zealand (and from your "Wal Mart" comment you must be in the US) any stores here are less that helpful for you...

And mo, I have no idea re the camera, I just noted it as a good article on cleaning the lens.

I believe that you can purchase such items on online stores like eBay, which would remove the need for any stores near your location, all you need is a mailbox

Howdy folks...

knight_47...

Tell you what I do...I get the Pre Moistened Lens Cloths from my local Optical store ( actually I get them free, my wife works at one and she gets some of the free samples )...

Been using them for years...they don't scratch the glass lens on my cameras or my glasses, and work very well...
