the camera is a atiger dc361 12.0 mega pixels
the software that came with it uses arcsoft.com to process the photos but the disc doesn't have the drivers to enable the camera to be used by "any "pc..
the OS on my machine is windows 98 with the upgrade to SE.

looking for driver or ?
it seems like a digital camera should work on any pc (IBM comp.)
if the user wants to unload photos or video..isn't there a standard driver that will work with most video or digital cameras
available?

Looks like drivers are here:
http://www.vigorhood.com.cn/StandardofDC.html

Download - "Standard of DC"

English translations are not too good, hope the camera and driver quality is better...

There is usually an option is cameras to copy images in the camera internal memory to the card.

It's not a 12 MP camera by the way, its only 3.1 MP. Ignore the "interpolated" 12 MP, it's just hype.

And for Windows 98, no there is not "a standard driver" available, in fact even with 98SE its often hit and miss for connectivity with any drivers and modern cameras..

Kiwiguy-
on the website you posted, the driver for the camera is a pdf file that only give information on that particular camera...
did you happen to download the file?

Yeah I learned that the camera is 3 mp but it still takes really good photos and dynamite videos with sound- i would like to be able to unload photos taken and kept on the flash memory.
thanks for your help

I see that now, its a very poor website.
As the programs were in .rar format I assumed they were drivers, but alas no.

Are you saying that the camera has no functionality whatever to internally copy the on-chip image to the card?
