Old AverMedia webcam...
Hello -

Due to a hard drive failure, I recently replaced my 4-year old HP Pavilion XT978 with a brand new one... the HP Pavilion a1547c. Both PC's ran up-to-date Windows XP.

On the old one, I had an AverMedia webcam installed and functioning... the Intercam Elite (the one that looks like a ball and sits inside a little plastic donut). Unfortunately, I also lost the drivers and app when the old PC failed.

Since then, I have tried to reinstall on my new PC and have had great difficulty. I downloaded the app and drivers from three different sources, including Avery. Just can't get through the install for varying reasons. Last night, I got further than ever, but still no dice.

Anyone have experience with this? I realize the Elite is quite old, but it still works and, for me, it's good enough for the small amount of webcam stuff I do.

Thanks in advance for some suggestions.
