Microsoft "PICTURE MANAGER"
Does anyone know where i can get a copy of microsoft picture manager to try for free before purchasing it? or is it only available via MS Office? I don't really care to use it but one of the guys i work with uses it and only knows how to use that program ... we must share many photos and would like to use the same program to compress and edit photos.

Picture Manager bundled with MS Publisher 2003. I didn't have to buy the whole Office Suite, just Publisher(which i needed... i didn't buy publisher just to get picture manager). And just for the record... FASTSTONE is a GREAT program for your digital photography needs. I found that one through TSG and I absolutely love it. Thanks.

Also, quick question...How come MS Word can open files made by Word programs from another version or year, but Publisher can't? I can't open any files that I made with MS Publisher2000, with my new 2003 program.

I do not have any of those programs so hard to say why.
But see if MS Publisher2000 has more options in saving and maybe other formats.
They may even have a converter.

I don't do any word processing so just use note pad and it saves it as a .txt file.

Looks like there a ms publisher viewer and a ms publisher reader and a ms publisher converter
