Problem with JPEGs
Hi, I've noticed that when I look at jpeg images, there are random pixels scattered all over that are obviously the wrong colour, for example, when there's a dark tree trunk in the image, it shows up as light blue - the colour of the sky in the background.

Is there a solution?

Thanks

I've just found out that videos don't play properly, and also show random pixels which change posistion in each frame.

That picture looks fine unless I'm missing something.... The ground in the background looks a little odd but it appears to be desert or burnt?

Anyhow right click your desktop and select properties. Under the settings tab/color quality make sure highest (32-bit) is selected.

that picture looks good to me to. i would try what thecoalman said. an see if that works. an while your there click on the advance tab below that an then click on the color management tab . an see if there's a color profile there.
what kind of system you have? do you have a video card?
if you have a spare monitor? you could hook that up an make sure its not the monitor.

Where are these image from that look so bad to you?
I mean are you downloading them?
Are you on dial-up with the up to times faster speed where they compress things like images because that will make them look bad.

PNG is NOT a Photoshop format... but you're right, it's not a JPEG, either... although, a photograph isn't going to have multiple layers, so that's definitely not the problem here.
