if you want a good free program to make .gifs and animated ones there is the program called The Gimp, it is open source and a quick and easy download, i used that for a couple of years when i was first starting out making graphics etc and it worked a charm.
Have a search on the net for the gimp and it will take you to their page, or you can see what others have created using it, and see if it is the right thing for you, also there are tons of tutorials out there for it, to help you work out what you want to make etc

if you can afford some good software, there is psp (paint shop pro) ps (photoshop)... trying to think of some more....

as mentioned earlier, Photoshop + Imageready (mine came bundled), one online tutorial and some imagination is all it took (check out my avatar, just done with them this morning). Unfortunately they are very expensive. I think there is a free version of PaintShopPro from just before they were bought out, mentioned somewhere in these forums is a link I can't find. thats a pretty abeled prog and compares well to photoshop.

But get a 404 right now.

Here are some free Animation Tools.

By the way if you want to buy Ulead Gif Animator you would be better off buying Ulead PhotoImpact that has Ulead Gif Animator as part of the package.
Your have better control by having both programs. But if you got 98, ME Ulead Gif Animator will work but the newer Ulead PhotoImpact will not.

Well after it expires redownloading it may not help. You would have to find everything that was installed on the computer and registry because it will know otherwise.

I used Ulead Animator Gif before, its very good but Imageready is better.

Imageready CS is best.

if you buy Photoshop CS or CS2 with free Imageready.

Good luck for your Ulead Animator. Any problems, i'm happy to help.

Ulead Animator is cheaper but to make it so much more easy you need a Imaging program that supports layers so you have more control over what your doing.
With Ulead Animator you can use .psd files but really it is more easy to use Ulead PhotoImpact and then safe it .ufo or you can use .psd and then use Ulead Animator.

I just want to make some banner or title for my site.
Any help on some free softwares? The Gimp is pretty complicated to install and it looks malicious.. is it?

And can someone give or show me a site where i can find cliparts of a 3d globe... its pretty hard to find one.
