Freeware screen capture utility
Hey Everyone

Trying to find a freeware (or inexpensive) utility that will allow me to capture regions of the screen. I realize that windows has print screen and variations thereof, but I need something that let's me draw a region to capture, and then send it to the clipboard. I found a few programs, but none of them send the image to the clipboard if I want. I sometimes do screencaptures 5-10 times in a row and paste it into an e-mail, so it's usless for it to be saved to a file.

Also I would like it not to be cheesy freeware, something that doesn't totally look like your average spyware maker created it.

I've searched google and a few other forums, have yet to find something like this.

I use ScreenPrint32 which is free for home use. Here is a description:

ScreenPrint32 allows you to print and/or capture to disk or clipboard, the full desktop, active window, predefined area, or user selected area of the screen. Add user defined headers and footers with date and time stamps etc, resize the printed image, convert to greyscale or negative image, fade or resize the image to reduce toner/ink usage, print by default to any available printer. It can be set up to be completely transparent to the end user.
Capture a screen area and paste directly into your documents. Easily configured with user specific or global settings which are persistent after reboot.
Images may be saved to a user selected folder in either GIF, BMP, JPG or PNG formats with user configurable file naming.

Faststone capture looks like the one I could use. Seems to fit my needs the best, simple, easy to use, and slick.

One nice thing with Faststone capture is you can get a screen shot of a srolling window. It only scrolls down but it is nice. Plus it does other added effects.
You can even get a zip no install version.

Yea it is nice. Also it works on the scrolling on some other programs that has a list you have to scroll tru so if you ever need to take a screen shot you may be able too.
