Exclamation I Can't Open Any Pictures ??
Hey All,

I'm running 98se. I just got down cleaning up some programs that I don't use any more. I "deleted" the entire program call "Adobe Photoshop 5.5. After I did that, I went to open some photo's (jpegs, bitmaps) and now I can't open any of them.
I would like to open them up with "Microsoft Photo Editor.

Any help ??

I beleive that photo editor is/was part of MS Office on a w98 system and it may or may not have been included on the initial Office install. As I remember on my old 98 system,it was not part of the initial install but I did have an Office97 disk,so just re-installed everything included in Office and got it..
As Buck said scroll to the file type and you should be able to select the application that you wish to use to open the JPEG/JPG.

The best program I've ever installed in my computers is the freeware Irfanview ... and this started in W-98 days.
http://www.download.com/IrfanView/30...-10021962.html

You can tell Irfanview to be your systems default Image Viewer and Editor for all images ... (file associations)
It's a clean install/uninstall ... This should fix it .. unless you have a serious problem elsewhere.
Never run "Microsoft Photo Editor" .. but I have a hunch Irfanview is better.
