Hi sheppey, Yes you need to get some rechargeable batteries and a charger for sure as ordinary batteries are a waste of time, the best type to get are NI-MH with as high a capacity as possible, the ones I use are 2700 NiMh,which I believe are the highest you can get at the moment ...I see you use ebay so would suggest you look on there, got mine from there, next day delivery,4 batteries and a charger for under £15 ....

Click on this for an example of what I mean http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-X-AA-Fujicel...QQcmdZViewItem

Your camera uses AA batteries. NiMH rechargeable AA batteries work in all cameras, they aren’t model specific.

Insisting on 2700 mAh batteries is probably overkill unless you can find a good brand at a good price. 2300 batteries are cheap and probably run your camera for hundreds of shots. Most battery/charger sets come with four batteries so you have a spare set. I saw a full set in Wal Mart for under twenty bucks.

These are the latest and greatest in NiMH because they don’t have the bothersome self-discharge usually associated with NiMH batteries: http://www.amazon.com/eneloop-Positi.../dp/B000IV0REA Even though the capacity isn’t great by current standards, you can pick up the camera after months of non-use and the batteries are still almost fully charged. 2000 mAh will probably give you around three times the life on a charge than alkaline AAs.

Don’t get Sanyo batteries from Ebay that aren’t Eneloop. Sanyo put out a bad batch of regular NiMH batteries and they are probably being peddled cheap on Ebay. I would stick with a major brand if you can.

Too bad your double zero category would require the liquidation of anyone who accessed the site if you revealed your secret location. Otherwise it might save people the trouble of providing sources inappropriate to you.
