Kodak makes lots of software like EasyShare Software, Picture Software, and Picture Easy Software. I’ll guess you have EasyShare as it is the most common. Version 4 is old if it is EasyShare. Download the current Easyshare 6.2:
http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQueri...equestid=10373 I would uninstall your old version before installing 6.2. The safest way is to use the Kodak clear utility:

I have seen situations where burners came with versions of software not updated to include the burner. If your Nero version has been working with other projects I would just leave it be. But if you haven’t gotten it working with your current burner it might need updating.

CD writers can be picky about having the software current. If the Kodak software has a record to CD function it should work OK for you. If updating doesn’t help and you can’t record anything with an updated Nero you might have other problems.
If updating your software doesn’t help, give us something to work with.
Operating system?
Kodak software?
Nero version?
When you tried Nero for the photos, did you find the folder with the images and try to record directly from that?
Have you recorded other projects? How?
CD-R or RW?
CDs new from box?
Have you tried more than one brand of blank CD?
Does your CD writer show as a drive in My Computer?
If you have XP, have you tried dragging files directly to the burner?
Some Kodak cameras are not PTP and require EasyShare or other Kodak software for downloads.
If you have EasyShare on your computer you can’t use other methods to download regardless of whether it is PTP.
If you have XP you should find your photos in: Documents and Settings/All Users/Shared Documents/Shared Pictures. It is like any other folder of photos and can be recorded directly with Nero or any other software. If you don’t have XP or can’t find them in Shared Photos: Start > Search. Select “All files and folders”. Enter the file name for one of your photos in the search.
100_2745 is I think a common Kodak format. Search will find your folder for you.
If your software and interface are working fine for you except for recording I wouldn’t dump it. It isn’t my cup of tea, but many people get on fine with the Kodak software for their Kodak cameras. You should be able to record directly from the photo storage folder with Nero if you can’t get the Kodak software to record for you.
