How do I create a video file for youtube?
Hi All

I have the ability to display YouTube videos directly on my forum, and I am trying to find out how I can make these videos myself so I can post some news items on youtube (or just a media file) - for my forum members.

I am attending an event in 7 weeks and had the idea of taking my digital camera with me which I could use to interview people there and post the videos on my site.

How do I;

1 - create a video suitable for youtube
2 - create a video suitable for viewing in Media Player within a forum page

Any ideas?

Youtube has extensive help files, which will tell you step by step how/what to upload etc.

Unless you're a professional video producer, we recommend that you save your videos as either QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files— these are the most common formats and they work well within our system. We specifically recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube.
Not very hard to find.
