Kodak Z710 software & Vista
I recently added vista to my computers. Now I have a problem running the Kodak software on my computer. This would not be a problem, but now I am having trouble playing my .mov videos from the camera. They played on my old os, but on this one it says they are corrupted files. I tried using a different memory card, direct connect. But whenever I try to use vlc to open the files I get sound and no picture. When I use real it will play for a couple of sec and then say that the file is corrupted. If I play on kodak software it will run for a sec and then it will shut the software off. I tried just trading it from the .mov file to the .avi files using boil soft but that will not run on my comp probably because of the vista. DivX will not work with vista and rad video tools will convert the files but the video will freeze after about 10 sec while the audio continues to play.

I tried to email kodak to see if the software was comp. with vista, but got no response. Even if it is not is there some other program that will play the .mov? Something that will convert files that works with vista? And is it because of vista I am getting the corrupt message or something else?
Thanks.

I am guessing you are using EasyShare. Have you downloaded the latest version – 6.2?

It will run fine on my laptop, but not on my desktop. It says, "A buffer overrun has been detected." Then a few lines down it says, " A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated." But the exact same file on my laptop runs fine.

I already tried it with quicktime, before I downloaded the kodak software.
