Weird screen problem
Hi All
New to this forum with a nice awkward problem for you.
Computer is home built with AMD XP 2.800+ 1Gig Memory,ATI Radeon 9250 128MB GDDR AGP 8X.Directx 8.1 64bit,Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394 Mobo,Broudband ADSL modem running @ 53Mbps connected to Tel.Line.
Using I.E and Firefox.
My problem is sometimes about 40% of the time when I am using the net and Email the photo's are covered in this pattern (looks like pixels)
Been going on for a long time thought it was graphics card so changed (twice) with no change, also had new TFT monitor.
Anyone with any ideas
Thanks

You don’t have to post it, but take a screenshot and open it in your viewer. If the junk is still there when you open the screenshot I wouldn’t think it has to do with your display. If they are still there when you paste the screenshot I would guess something is up with your Ethernet, modem, connection or such.

Have you checked for anything that might be running concurrent with the interference?

Have you been to Roswell recently?

Hi
Thanks for the quick reply, that picture on the forum has been taken by my digi camera because if I copy and paste into my documents for example or try to transfer it anywhere the picture is fine.
I emailed my brother a picture a long time ago and it did not show the problem.
I have just GOOGLED ROSWELL LOL it looks like it doesn't it

I’m at a loss. That a copy/paste doesn’t have the interference means it isn’t in the signal coming in. I think that rules out most external interference.

Up close it almost looks like a very busy video game is feeding through. Are they moving around? If they are could a screensaver be bleeding through? Have you downloaded any screensavers? It doesn’t look like interference.

Hi Slipe
I am the same as you at a loss,no I don't use screensavers and I just use my computer for general working I never play games on it.
I just don't know where to go from here the trouble is I have so much on my computer I don't want to format but I think is coming to that.
I think my best bet is to format and put stuff back on one at a time and see what is causing it.
I use ebay a lot and even when I open the page I have random bits of this pattern, many thanks for your help anyway

While I first would have jumped all over your video driver, I then noticed that your odd pattern is only showing up in the graphic on a webpage.

I also see what I think is your browser, Internet Explorer. You might want to clear out your temp files from your browser, and maybe [Restore advanced settings] in your IE Tools>Internet Options, [Advanced] menu.

Maybe even update your video driver too, just for the heck of it.

Hi ChuckE
I also use firefox I tried it to see if IE was my problem but I get it in both.
I have also tried 2 different video cards but problem is still there, one suggestion was a virus but after doing a scan with 3 different bits of software the report is no virus's found.
It is realy getting annoying now because sometimes it is realy bad and if I want to see the picture I have to transfer it to make sense of it

Obviously no techy's on this site only two replies and then stop (that is not very useful for people with problems).
I will find a site with people with more knowledge of computer problems.
Don't bother to reply as I won't be back

You signed up 3 days ago, and submitted 7 messages, and 6 were in this thread alone, so obviously you are not a patient person. Some of us actually have jobs and interests elsewhere, we can't all be waiting here for your next request to help you.

Perhaps a busy person, like yourself, ought to start paying for professional assistance.
