Emailng pictures
In My Pictures I can select a picture to email and select "Email this file"
from the side window.
The window opens offering to reduce the file size or not.
After this option is chosen-to reduce-the new Email opens with the picture attachment
-no size given- in the subject line but none of the task bar buttons will work and the contact address book will not open.
What do I need to do to make this option work?
I am using Outlook Express 6 for my email.
Thanks

that was my point. i don't see email this file but what i mentioned in the above post when i email a pic from within my pictures or a doc.

i do see the size in the attachment block.

i don't see the address book but click on "to" and your in the address book comes up. you'll see to, cc and bcc. select the names and click one of them.

you can only reduce if you rt click/send to from the folder.

it does't resize if you attach to the email.

Brighousejim, this is what I get after resizing:

Does yours look like this?
It is Outlook Express that is opening, right? Check under Help.
You say the 'Send', 'Paste' , and 'Check' buttons are grayed out?
How about 'File', 'Send Message'. Does this work?
Did you mean that the filename and file size is missing from the 'Attach' box?

Hi Moper
The email that is opened is NOT like yours.
No size is shown in the subject line in fact no attach box is shown
Cut, Copy, Paste and Undo are all greyed out.
Other buttons do not work.
Sorry I cant send a screen shot-I do not know how.

Is Outlook Express your default mail program?
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs tab. What is listed under Email?

For a screenshot, hold down the Alt key and press the PrtSc key once. (nothing will appear to happen) Open Paint. Click Edit, Paste. Click 'Save As'. Give it a name and location(desktop is good). File type: Choose gif or jpg. In your post, at the bottom, click 'Manage Attachments'. Click 'Browse', and find the photo you just saved. Then click 'Upload'. That's it. Close the attachment box.
