8mm to Digital
I got an older handycam Sony ,, what software & hardware do I need to download the video from camera to computer. There has to be a way.

I got an HP pavilion a1217n PC I think, what is written on the front PC cover, Video card is Integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics .. Pc only yr half old

There are many ways of converting analog video to digital video. You can either use your mini-dv camera (if you own one and it supports pass through), a video card that supports conversion (I don't think yours does) or a video conversion box---like the ones made by companies like ADS.
