Question Adobe Bridge & Camera Raw Help
First of all, I am noob at using Adobe Bridge and Camera Raw.

Here are 2 situations:

1. I am in Adobe Bridge, I select about 5 images, and adjust the contrast and exposure in Camera Raw. After that, I click on "Done". The images in Adobe Bridge show up with the new colour settings. But when I check the files in Explorer, they havent changed, they still have the old colour settings. So, how do I apply the new settings to these files?

2. I am in Adobe Bridge. I select 7 images and rotate them within Adobe Bridge itself. But when I check in Explorer, they still have the old unrotated images. How do I apply the changes to the files?

Any help would be great.

Thanks!!

in both cases you need to save the files with the new settings... personally I would "save as" a new name so the originals remane unaltered...

Isnt there any other way to save them with the same file name?

You are talking about using Camera Raw right?

When I go to save as, it doesnt overwrite the old files. It creates new files with "_1" added at the of the name.

Also, in case 2, where is the Save As option in Adobe Bridge?

Thanks!!

save ... not "save as"... saves the original name but you lose the original file which most people, including myself like to keep

In raw click open image then file save or save as

also the save image button at the left of the raw window is an option

when you open an nef file in bridge it should automaticlly open Photoshop as well as a camera raw window... if when you are done dinking around you click open image it should open in photoshop where under the file dropdown there will be a host of choices including save and save as...

what version of camera raw/photoshop do you have?

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing?

Camera make and model would help so the raw file you are working with is known.... I use nikon = .nef as well as fuji raw files

Yes, saving it in photoshop is fine. But suppose I do some color adjustment in 20 images using Camera Raw, isnt there any way to "Save" the adjustments. I cannot open them in Photoshop because it would crash while opening so many images.

you can save the adjustments by clicking done...that is in Camera Raw 4.1... you have not said which version you are using...
you are still only saving in the raw format which not an "honest" image format that can be viewed by most image viewers/editors that don't have raw capability... To do that you need to click save image, at the left of the raw window and make your selections as to location as well as the file type you wish...

I'm using Camera Raw 4.0. I did not open RAW images. They were JPEG's. When I click on Done, they show up correctly in Adobe Bridge, but when I check the files in explorer... they still show up unedited.
