trouble with adding text, computer wont allow it
ok, so i am making a DVD for my softball team. In the dvd i am going to have digital pictures and videos taken off of my 8.1 mega pixel camera. i am not having any trouble figguring any of that out. BUT for the introduction i am having a picture of a girl come up and then their name fade in and scroll out different ways. so i am going to...the picture i want to add the text to..go into internal tracks or whatever text effect, add it and pick a way for it to come in...and that was working FINE for like 9 times. and it looked great everything doing what it was sposed to do how i wanted it done. THEN...ANY time i try to add text to a picture...the same EXACT way as i did it before it wont let me. basically i can go into the program and watch my dvd 100 times, add music, more pics, videos...but as SOON as i try to add text to a picture(the same way as i was doing before) my computer basically zooms in x100 everything blows up really big...i have like 6 icons showing on my computer instead of 20 and i have to restart my computer. i dont understand why all of a sudden it is doing this when it has been working fine for the same task. also, just came across this problem when i was trying to go in and tell you exactly what i have to do, it says lost files and i cant figure out how to "find them" i know that my friend went on and re-names my music in another program to organize my "unknown" artists, but i cant figure out how to get them back up. ok thank you SOO much for reading this and trying to help me out. i reallllly hope you get back to me soon because i have to finish this DVD for the team :- (

Hi ash54, and welcome to TSG.

I am not sure anyone here can help you without at least knowing what software you are using to create the DVD. It might help to also know what operating system you are running.

If your friend renamed music files that you are using to make the DVD you will need figure out the new names (and new locations if your friend put them in new or different sub-directories) and then tell the editing software the new names and locations.
