Problem Importing Pictures From Camera To Computer
I'm trying to copy photos from my grandad's camera onto my computer but about 6 or 7 photos in, I get the following error message. Could someone tell me what it means and how I resolve it? Thanks.

Is it camera-to-computer via USB cable or card reader?

A CRC error usually means a bad picture file, but it could be the connection. Skip that one and see if you can copy the others.

It's a USB cable. It happens with several files, is there any way to repair the file?

Corrupted photos aren't readily fixed. There's software sold for that purpose, but I suspect it's not cheap, easy to use, or very successful at what it does.

I guess what you should do is make sure it's not a connection issue. Try a different USB port. Try a different PC. See if someone you know has a card reader. See if grandpa had a problem. Then if it's not the connection, and if you are going to keep using this camera, you have to figure out whether its a bad card or the camera.

does it have a memory card in the camera?. do you have a card reader in your pc. if its yes to both try using the card reader. if its yes to the first question. and no to the second. you could if you want and get a card reader?

if the camera does use a memory card. and if you have a extra one around that will fit it. try putting that card in the camera and take a few pics. and see if that works. you might have to formate the test card your going to use in the camera.
