Sony Cyber Shot DSC W35 charging problem
I am currently in Norway and taking a lot of photos and would appreciate a quick response as my camera is nearly dead and I am here for another month yet! I wonder if it has anything to do with the adapter. I plug the adapter and battery into the mains supply with a European adapter and the orange light appears on the charger, yet only remains for a few minutes before going out. When I check the camera a few hours later the battery life has not improved. I would greatly appreciate any advice you have on this. If I need to buy a different type of charger for being abroad could you please let me know how much this would cost and how quickly it would be delivered. I look forward to hearing from you soon

First check the charger. Almost all camera chargers handle a wide voltage range. My Sony says 100-240V 50/60 Hz. That covers just about anywhere.

Some European hotels seem paranoid enough about preventing guests from using their electricity it wouldn’t surprise me to find a timer on the low wattage razor socket. If your charger voltage and cycles are OK for 220V/50Hz current try pulling out one of the light plugs and use that socket.

You would most likely end up with the same charger you have if you bought another.

Thanks, though I am not sure if this is the case as I am staying in a house with a host family and not a hotel! Any other ideas?

This may seem silly but have you checked that the:
a) battery is in the charger the correct way
b) the charger is plugged in the correct way (eg. in my house i have to plug it in upside down cuz of the way the sockets were put in. lol)
c) with my charger ( i have exact same camera) I have to actually tape the thing tight to the plug sometimes because if it leans out even "slightly" it stops charging too.

These may seem like stupidly obvious things you're probably already aware of, but just in case.

Hope that helps and good luck.
