the graphics on my pc
well this is the case...ive noticed that the icons near the clock are not clear, ie: they are bad quality
look here: . do you see the msn icon its not a good quality...

win 2k pro
160 Ram
3 GB HD

You are using a pretty old system with very limited graphics ability. Are you using a LCD display? If so you may not be able to drive that monitor at the native resolution with just 8 mb of video memory.

If could also have something to do with icon size in use but all the icons should have the same degraded look then.

hm...i have seen before i reformatted a way of increasing the graphics so they will look normal...but can't find it. also when i open mic. paint, when i save a file, there is no jpeg file type? you know why

Did you try saving it anyway and was it where you saved it or not there?

Didn't the early versions of Paint only save in jpg so there was no need to display the filetype?

I'm not sure about changing your graphics either but the way I always do it on my system is to right click on the desktop and bring up display properties and change the resolution in settings. I also have a Appearance tab that I can change the overall size of some graphics on the screen like text and icons.

If you just reinstalled you may need a more recent version of the graphics drivers if you can't change any of those things.
