Question Solved: Printing Pictures
Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good program to print digital pictures. The only program I have is HP album printing software that came with the printer. sometimes on certian pictures it may print a 4x6 right but when I want to print a 5x7 or an 8x10 it will cut most of the picture out. So I am looking for a program that will print the normal size photos correctly. Who knows maybe I am just doing something wrong. all and any advice appreciated.

If your picture prints correctly at 4x6 without chopping anything off, then you have to loose parts of the picture if you want to fill a full 5x7 or 8x10 print area without distortion.

For example, to increase the 4 inch dimension to 5 inches, the 6 inch dimension would need to increase to 7.5 inches to print the entire picture. You would need to chop off 0.25 inches on each side to fit in the 7 inches.

As a further example, if you double the 4 inch dimension to 8 inches, you would also need to double the 6 inch dimension to 12 inches to fit the entire picture. 1 inch would need to be chopped off of each side to fit the 10 inch dimension.

I am not familiar with the HP software. You might want to see if it has an option fit a picture to a given print size by adding blank (white) borders top and bottom instead of chopping a bit off of each size.

I am aware of this http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...intphotos.mspx

However I think something is wrong with it. everytime I try to go this route. it freezes up and I can not get past step 6 the photo wizard pops up but then freezes and does not allow me to click next. Any suggestions?

This may be a memory (or lack of) issue

How much ram is installed in your computer ?
Which Windows version are you running ?

It is possible that too many programs are started (near the clock - bottom right)
Closing (right click on each) and exiting non-needed programs may help

Hi again.
Make sure you put a check in the [Aspect Ratio] box.
This maintains the original height and width ratio of the picture.

What's the Deer tally ??
