cant open images
i had taken pics from a sony digital camera but it was not opened in the camera as well as in wy pc .I had tried in many photo software but could not opened.............

PLEASE HELP

Connect the Camera using the USB cable .. turn it on .. and see If the Sony shows up in "My Computer"
You should be able to download the pictures from there ... Open the Sony and browse to find the pictures.

Then Select all ... and Copy > Paste them to a New Folder on your desktop.
No other Camera software is needed.

My Sony H5 shows up like this ...

As I see it Noyb they couldn't see the pictures in the camera either.

cant open images
i am saying that i have downloaded the photos in my computer but i could not open it .
when i try to open it in the windows picture & fax viewer it shows no prewiew available...
when i try to open it in microsoft photo editor it shows can't determine type....
when i try to open it in paint it shows paint cannot read this file........

when i try to open it in ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS2 it shows the file may be truncated or incomplete.....


PLEASE HELP AS THE PHOTOS ARE VERY IMPPOTANT TO ME.....

what is the file extension of the downloaded images and what approximate size are the images and what is the capture resolution of the camera?

I think you'll need to run a photo rescue program on your memory card.

There used to be a free one, can't think of the name Zero something. Someone else may know.

Otherwise you can download a trial copy that will work, but not allow you to save the images, at least you'll see if you can rescue them though.

I've seen this one mentioned here at TSG ... but never had the need to try it.

I used this on formatted HDs, when freeware has failed ... http://www.runtime.org/
The trial DL of this will read the Card/HD if it can .. But you have to buy it to recover the files.
