Solved: Transferring Activation in PSCS2
I just bought a new laptop computer....I had Adobe Photoshop CS2 installed on my desktop computer...but have not used it much at all. So, just yesterday I did the "Transfer Activation "thing". I did as instructed...Installed it on my laptop...(this new laptop is an HP Pavilion with 2GB, Intel Centrino, Light Scribe, and Windows Vista).

When I was through installing it (it said I installed successfully)....then I was told to register it... ...I did so...using my new address (of the laptop)...It told me It registered successfully.

I then proceeded to download updates....when all was said and done, and rebooted...said the updates were installed successfully as were the registration, and updates.

So, I closed it out.....opened PSCS2 to work on a picture ,and it said..... before I could do anything....... I had to register it...so, I did this again.

closed it out....opened it again ...same thing said I had to register it. This went on for 5 different times...So, I got to thinking...maybe I should use my other address that I had the PSCS2 on in the first place....by evening I was almost blind...so I closed everything down.

This morning I opened both computers...I got a "congratulations" for registering...on the desktop computer...(the one with the beginning address)

I opened PSCS2 on the laptop...same thing as yesterday...I must register
I clicked on ....(don't remember the exact wording), but declined to register it and it opened for me and I could pull a picture in to work with.

What is the problem?...what do I need to do? I am afraid if everytime I open it and decline to register, I won't receive updates.

I have gone to the Adobe Photoshop site, and tried to find an answer to my question, but don't see my question having been asked before....and I can't find a phone number to contact anyone with Adobe.

So, I am sitting here in Limbo with a $600.00 software.

Can anybody out there please help.
Thanks,
sherri

NO you are not---All you need to do is give them a call on Monday and they will take care of the problem for you. In the past, you were allowed to use Photoshop on one desk top and one laptop. I don't think you will have a problem.

Hi PopPicker...thanks for the phone number I called on Monday, and got everything fixed, and I now have PSCS2 on both of my computers.
