can't view photos
I Have A Rw Disk With Photos In Jpg Format. When I Open Disk It Only Shows Three Nero Files . When You Try To Open Files It Tells Me I Need Incd Reader. I Downloaded Incd Reader Although It Said It Was Included With My Nero Disk. I Still Cannot Open Photos. I Have Open This Same Disk Many Times Before. It Was
Photos Taken Sometime Back And I Have Viewed Them And Even Copied Some To My Pictures Before. What Could Be Wrong?
Thank You

I think you're on the right track. Nero doesn't automatically install InCD any more if it ever did and that's probably the case here. I'm not sure what might have happened if no changes were made and you were opening that same disk on the same drive on the same computer in the same account (yes its that specific) before.

You may still need to activate it or apply InCD to that optical drive to make it work [again]. If InCd is running and its in the tray and you still can't access the disc, there may be a problem with reading that disc on that drive and should subsequently see if you can read and get the data off with a different optic drive that might do bit better at reading the disc.

This won't help you now, but for the future.

Do NOT use CD-RW discs, especially for important file storage. They do have a finite life, which is much shorter than a CD-R...MUCH shorter, and are quite easily damaged by scratches and heat, and not that excessive either. CD-R's are really cheap making using a rewritable disc false economy if economy at all.

When you view the drive in My Computer and right click and select properties how much of the pie is free? Could it be you accidently erased the files.. ie deleted.

Reply On Photo Problems
When You Check Disk Space There Are No Free Space. So I Figure They Are There I Just Have To Figure How To Retrieve Them. About Using R-disks . I Like To Go Back And Get My Photos And Give Them As Gifts Or Do Other Art Work With Them. With R Disk You Can't Do That.
And About The Incd Reader I Did Download It And Opened It. But I Could Have Made A Mistake. I Will Check It.
Thanks For The Info.

OK so how much used space is there?

The old adage is never work on the original, always the copy. So the best option is to save your originals to a "Finalised CD-R". If you want to add artwork then open that file in your PC and save it locally...ie My Pictures and work on the copy, that way if you make mistake (they happen) you don't damage the original.

The other option for help now is to try this.

PP

NB CD-RW's came about in the early days of CD writing when Cd's themselves were expensive, and in an office that was used to using floppy discs to transfer documents around, the idea of using 'once only' expensive media was not on. But remember these were used to transfer not store. Their original files were safely stored elsewhere. As I said in my first post. CD-RW's were not designed for storage. With CD-R's now only costing cents why take the risk. CD-RW's will fail.... that's a given.
