You'll need to go into the settings menu, scroll to date setting and uncheck the date/time stamp option.

Unchecking the Date/Time Option in your camera as PopPicker suggested will take care of the problem for any future photos that you take, but the only way to remove the Date/Time stamp from the Photos already taken is to Crop them out or use the "Clone" feature of one of the many Photo Editing Programs that are available.

When you go on the setup menu of the camera, you have 3 tabs. When you go to the tab 'set-up1', you find an option concerning date named 'date adjust'. This option alows you only to chose between date formats but not to remove the date from the picture. Do you have any idea how I can do?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have a Pentax, but not an Optio 60, and my manual says nothing about the date being inprinted, except in DPOF printing model, and setting that did not date stamp the images as seen on my PC.

I would reset the camera back to default conditions and see if that fixes your problem. Surely, it wouldn't have shipped that way from the factory.

from what I can see the Optio 60 was the last Pentax with date stamp
