Red face create lines in PS Cs2
I've played with this for quite some time, and just can't seem to figure it out. I'd like to create lines that I can size & fill like the following. I've tried the pen tool but I must be doing something wrong. Hope someone can help.

I don't have CS2 but do have Elements and I think its the same options.
Try using the rectangle marque (the dashed box) draw from corner to cornet to make a narrow box.
Set the opacity to 100% (or whatever) then use the paint bucket to fill with a dark color.
The picture you posted is unclear, but I think that is what you intended.

I don't know if its the best way or easiest or nuthin', but to get a graphic like the example I use the line tool with the shift key (I think) held down to make the straight lines inside the graphic until I have one of them just the way I want it then duplicate the layer and move the second line away to create the double line and then convert them to raster layers, snip the ends so they're even, lock the transparency and then give the lines that kind of variable color shift with a gradient fill.

So, lines done, then I just use the selection tool to make a rectangle around the lines and fill with black and promote layers as needed.
