How can I convert .tif to .jpg or .bmp?

I use irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/

Download and install

Press B which opens up a batch conversion and rename window.

It is a great programme because you can do many conversions in one go.

If it's just a few images then use the "save as" function.

The batch function in Irfanview is great, but it takes a little getting used to.
