Putting or storing dvd's onto laptop
I would like to transfer my camcorder dvd's to my laptop to enable me to put them onto You Tube as and when.
I can play them ok on my laptop, but not sure how I can store them on it.
This would only be temporary, to allow me to send them on as they would take up too much space.

Do I go into My Pictures and if so then what? I was told I could open a file for them but have forgotten how now

I have a Compaq Presario, using Windows XP.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks PopPicker,

That's useful stuff, but I want to find out first how to actually save my dvd's to my laptop before I do any converting.

You don't..... you convert FROM the DVD into the PC

However you could use a program like DVD Shrink

But it's a bit like 'doing the job twice'.
