Solved: computer connection
I hope you can tell me why all of a sudden I am unable to download my pictures from my camera to my computer? I plugged in the usb cable, plugged into an outlet for power, turned it on and it says that it's connected to my computer, but nothing comes up on my screen as it usually does so I can choose my pictures.

"I plugged in the usb cable, plugged into an outlet for power, " Strange way to go about it.... but...

Did this method work before?

What OS are you using?

Does the camera show as a drive in My Computer?

What make and model of camera?

Do you have the camera in the correct mode?

Yes it has always worked and all of a sudden it stopped. I did put the camera in the right mode. The model is Centrios DCS-3020.

If this camera appears as a drive:
Right-click/Properties
This should give you the AutoPlay window
Select an Option
Pictures
Copy to a folder
This camera may appear in Control Panel/Scanners and Cameras, where you can do the same thing.
If you download and install Picasa, you can just use the import dialog.
