saving video clips (eg you tube)
Is there any way to easily save computer video clips to CD, or is it a big conversion thing?

if you want to play on something like a dvd player/vcd player/divx player/etc player, you'd have to convert it. but if you just want to do it for storage reasons, you can just burn the file onto a blank disk.

I've used THIS with varying degrees of success, probably 7 out of 10 times.

It converts remotely so you only download the avi not the flash.
