Simple graphics program?
Can anyone recommend a small, freeware program for editing graphics? It needs it to be very simple to operate. My husband has been trying to use the programs that came on his computer and it just isn't working out. He has Vista Basic. I want something that he can use to resize the photo to the size and resolution that he wants and he might want to change the contrast. Since that is about all he wants to do, I really don't want to install a large photo program. He isn't open to using an online graphics program. Rather stubborn if you know what I mean. At 63, he has been using the computer for only a year and that has mostly been Word. He gets frustrated with it rather easily.

Thanks
Peg

before Noyb sees this and gives his thoughts I'll recomend what he would
Irfanview
I use irfanview as my default image viewer as well as for minor / basic image manipulation (use photoshop for more complex stuff). have been using it for years through many different versions and have no complaints (other than its interface looking a little "old school")

If you don't like irfanview you could also try faststone image viewer: http://www.faststone.org/
It is essentially an image browser, but allows you to do basic editing like rotate and resize.

or... Picasa

Classy looking and easy plus it has a wonderful "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. Perfect for 'stubborn' blokes.
